Band at the Beach Dates: July 14-18, 10am-2:30 A one week concert band camp located at Pacific Beach Middle School. Registration runs from March 1st through June 15th with late penalties thereafter. Registration tuition includes five days of large ensemble rehearsals, coinciding with small group instruction, master classes, lunch served daily and a BATB t-shirt. San Diego Summer Music Institute: Dates: June 15-June 21 San Diego Summer Music Institute is one of the premier summer music camps in Southern California. If you or someone you know plays an instrument and wants to spend part of their summer learning from amazing teachers and having fun with other young musicians, then SDSMI is the place for you! Hausmann Chamber Music Program Summer Festival Dates July 7-12 Presented by San Diego State University’s Community Music School and led by the Hausmann Quartet, with special guest coaches and clinicians, this summer the camp returns to SDSU’s School of Music and Dance for our full-day program! The program will be open to dedicated string players and pianists, ages 12-22, by audition. Younger students will be accepted on a case-by-case basis. SACRA/PROFANA Summer Choral Intensive Dates July 7 -11 SCI is the ultimate week for choir nerds! A group of singers from all over the county gather for a week to learn fun and challenging repertoire and put on a final concert that following Saturday all held at San Diego State! School of Rock San Diego Summer Camps Various Dates School of Rock San Diego offers a wide variety of music camps and workshops that cover topics such as these. Our local music camps are perfect for musicians of various skill levels who want to play guitar, bass, drums, keyboard, or vocals. Wildwood Music Camp July 6 - 13 Founded in 1971, Wildwood Music Camp offers instruction to students of all skill levels in Junior High and High School during week long sessions that focus on musicianship, musicality, technique and individual development. Sessions are offered based on students grade level for the upcoming school year with skills and improvement monitored throughout the week. Coaches and counselors support and encourage students during a seven day stay away from home in Southern California in the beautiful San Bernardino National Forest. Idyllwild Arts Academy | Summer Programs Various Discover the magic of an Idyllwild Arts summer, where students of all ages and abilities explore their bottomless creativity and build lifelong friendships with other passionate artists in a welcoming summer camp environment. Our engaging summer camp art workshops and masterclasses are taught by renowned teaching artists, helping students simultaneously build skill and confidence. |
Pt. Loma Summer Concerts
Point Loma Park Point Loma Summer Concerts has been bringing family-friendly concerts to Point Loma Park, with crowds swelling to nearly 3,000. The concerts are now a community tradition, with strolling teenagers who attended their first concerts in strollers. Each year, the Board of Directors allocates proceeds from raffle ticket sales to support local schools and music-related nonprofits—benefiting organizations like the Correia Instrumental Music Association, a proud recipient for the past 10 years.
